Behind The Scenes at Chicago Market— Bridal Trend Report

We’re still coming down from the excitement of Chicago Bridal Market, where all of our favorite designers come together to showcase their latest collections. And you guys…we can’t wait to share them with you! They’ll start arriving in the boutique in August so go ahead and schedule your appointment for then to get first dibs. Straight from the runway, here’s what’s trending for gowns in late 2024 and 2025…

Bows

Big or small, you’ll see these coquettish embellishments all over this season. Wear them on a sash, on your sleeves, in your hair–there’s really no such thing as too many bows.

Scoop Necklines

Every neckline has its day in the sun, this season it’s all about scoop necklines. Even strapless dresses are incorporating the trend by dipping slightly in the center to sculpt and frame the decolletage.

Textured Floral Embroidery

We saw a lot of really exciting textures this season from large, oversized lace motifs to embroidered 3-D flowers and intricate beading. We love the way designers are breathing new life into some of our favorite silhouettes and styles by incorporating these interesting textiles.

One-Shoulder

From Grecian-style draped satin to a modern lace take, we’re seeing designers play with asymmetry in these unique asymmetrical designs. Asymmetry adds a sense of sophistication and visual interest to any look and is perfect for the bride who wants something different.

Pump Up the Volume

Whether it’s a puffy sleeve or a dramatic pleated skirt, volume is BIG this season (pun intended). If you do want to incorporate this trend into your big day, go for a timeless design like this ball gown from Casablanca, or opt for a removable option like these over-the-top organza sleeves.
